Hygge

  • Also called 'Huga', 'Huggeo' or 'Hug' from tune to time, it carries a number of different meanings, including coziness, intimacy, warmth and comfort.
  • This word characteristically describes the lifestyle of the Danish.

With the multiple pronunciations and meanings, the essence of 'Hygge' is comprised of the elements that bring happiness to the Danish people. Hygge is not automatically translated into happiness but Hygge represents happiness. Different expressions, same Happy!
People use a variety of words to symbolized their happiness.
